“(CLL) PHN-LCKN ‘09 was not-so-secret cell-phone-experiment that took place at the new 92Y Tribeca this past January. The event, organized by LVHRD, was a group experiment encouraging socializing via text messaging.

Each attendee received a protective Mobiguard white jumpsuit with an assigned four digit number and instructions on how to register their bio to their number. Once registered, you could text-message-socialize by texting other people’s suit numbers to retrieve their bios. You could also use the system to send messages to other party-goers, all of which were then projected in a scrolling fashion on screens near the bar and stage.”  -Brooklyn Vegan
